Round 2
Some follow up answers:
1. That problem was fixed, but it still takes awhile before your photo is generated for the forums. Patience.
2. Excellent!
3. I have two. I know at least one person that has 4. It's up to you. If you can manage it, earn an extra 150-170mil ISK/mo, you can pay for the second account with ISK instead of real money. Find the section on how to do CCP Sanctioned GTC (Game Time Card) trades.
4. Corporations and alliances can set standings towards each other from -10 to 10, positive being blue and negative being red. These standings cause a pink or red minus sign or a light or dark blue plus to appear next to the pilot's icon in space. Alliances that want to coexist in a particular part of space set each other blue. Alliances that don't like each other set each other red. Some alliances only shoot red and let neutrals go by. Some shoot anything not blue.
5. Empire space is space controlled by the main empires. Some people assume it to be 0.5 and up, but really this is high-sec Empire. 0.1-0.4 is low-security space, but it's still Empire space.
6. There are NPC seeded items. Skillbooks and basic guns and frigates, as well as trade goods that serve no other purpose, and certain components and POS fuel parts. Look at the time remaining for the sell order. The max order for a player sell is 90 days. NPC sell orders are 364-365 days.
7. Some of the Level 1 missions can be tough for a even a fighting character right out of the gate. You can also get friends to help you on missions, you don't have to run them alone.
8. Dunno. I can't fly one yet.
9. Any ship can cloak with the proper skill and cloaking device, but your speed is severely reduced while cloaked, you can't activate modules or warp. Covert Ops ships with a Covert Ops cloaking device can move full speed and warp while cloaked.
10. Primarily as a tackler in a group. You fit the afterburner, and the statis webifier and/or warp core scrambler/disrupter and "tackle" the target... prevent him from warping away, while your higher-skilled corp mates in their bigger, slower ships come in and shoot the guy that would have gotten away without your help. That's one example.
11. Small ships like frigates orbiting a battleship at about 6km with an AB engaged won't be hit by guns very often, as they're traveling at a transverse velocity greater than the big BS-class guns can track. Of course, the BS may have a statis webifier that slows you down so they can hit you.... In missions, it's handy for keeping range on rats or traveling to the next gate faster.
12. All skills go to a maximum of Level 5.
13. Check out the stickied links/guides thread at the top of both this forum and the Eve General Discussion forum. Almost everything is in there. There's also one in the Ship fitting forum.
Have fun!
